Swissdent is supporting the activities of the non-profit organization «GreenLamp», as their goal is to empower women and girls in rural Ethiopia through education, health-care and technology, and in doing so allow them to effect social and economic change in their own communities. Driven by the conviction that when you educate a woman, you educate a community, «GreenLamp’s» long-term strategy rests on three core concepts: LEARN – Sponsoring young women through their Bachelor of Science in midwifery, LIGHT – Installing solar light and power at rural health centers, and LEAD – Supporting female role models to gain leadership skills. «GreenLamp» is a non-profit run 100% by volunteers and has reached over one million women in rural Ethiopia since 2012. www.greenlamp.ch
